By Kerry Bolton This mini biography was first published in the now out of print book Thinkers of the Right Ezra Pound, is heralded as the founding father of modern English literature and yet he was denied honours during his lifetime. He was born in 1885 in Idaho, USA. Ezra Pound’s utter condemnation of the usury system employed by democratic capitalism so upset his government that they imprisoned him for 13 years because he had spoken on the Italian radio during the war on cultural matters. He was a friend of the Mosley’s, and wrote articles for their periodicals and was also a great supporter of Social Credit.
