By Kerry Bolton
When economic recession comes to a nation people look closely at ideas for monetary reform. Sometimes they even go as far as electing governments who actually make radical changes.
Kerry Bolton is a New Zealander, and is well qualified to explain how the Labour Government of in that country in 1935 instituted state credit which was interest free. The economic depression also saw the 20,000 strong New Zealand Legion of Dr. Campbell Begg adopt the policy of State issued credit.
Another key figure who is mentioned is Henry (later Sir) Kelliher. He was the editor of the widely read NZ Mirror.
Many other leading figures who have supported the non-usury monetary system are also included in the text. In the USA, Franklin, Kennedy and Lincoln are discussed as is Gottfried Feder in the days of the Third Reich. In this last regard, the author claims that among Britain's peace demands in 1939 was that Germany renunciate her economic policies and return to the gold standard. This information the reader is told came from Walter Schellenberg who was a peace negotiator during the Venona affair.
