The Imperial Fascist League: Policy and Organisation: First published in 1928 the organisation can best be described as Ultra- Patriotic and fervently anti-communist. It was organised as a militant force capable of obstructing and defeating any left-wing revolution. Therefore it conformed very much to military lines in discipline, uniforms and hierarchy. After 1936 such activities with uniforms and military organisation became illegal. Its origins grew out of the British Fascisti movement and was established four years before Oswald Mosley’s British Union of Fascists.
