By Francis Neilson

Lord Vansittart was the political advisor to the British Foreign Office. He also had huge influence over the British Broadcasting Corporation. His overriding characteristic was his hatred of Germany – which stretched back even before the rise of Adolf Hitler.
Vansittart’s obsession and hatred played a great part in causing the Second World War. He was partly responsible for the deaths of millions of people and the ruin of Europe.

One of his principle rants was in a book called Black Record and in the USA Lessons of my Life. The author, Francis Neilsen takes to pieces almost every malignant calumny in Vansittart’s work. First published in the USA in 1944.
