The author, who saw the importance of Gerstein, delved into the history and statements of the Gerstein documents and found an amazing series of contradictions, impossible figures, different versions and clear claptrap. Henri Roques was awarded a doctorate for his work by the University of Nantes in 1986. As a result of his thesis Henri Roques was the first and only man in France in over 800 years to have his doctorate revoked by government order.
