Pre-BUF Patriots

On the 6th May, 1923 Miss Rotha Lintorn-Orman founded the British Fascisti, which was later known as The British Fascists. Their main interest was to oppose Communists and Marxist tendencies in society at large. They were very patriotic and although they did not regard themselves as "strike breakers" they did offer an auxillary service for the movement of essential supplies and the maintenence of electric, coal, gas and water supplies in times of national emegency.
They had three main publications during their existance. The British Lion, The Fascist Bulletin and British Fascism. The organisation ceased to exist after 1934 being mostly absorbed by the British Union of Fascists led by Sir Oswald Mosley.
This section also contains the The Patriot and The British Guardian which were associated from time to time.
