Second World War

Included here are some of the more controversial books and booklets covering less well known aspects and opinions regarding WWII. As in all wars, the victors write the history, and this is always muddied by the propaganda of the period in question. It is always difficult to show the "other side of the story" as this can appear unpatriotic.

In addition, the fact that Britain and the USA were able to read most of the German and Japanese military codes, and that this secret was kept long after the war had ended means that most histories published up to 20 years after the end of the war are now worthy of more skeptical analysis and should no longer be accepted as the last word on the subject.
